Return Policy

Items eligible for return (see below) must be processed on our return portal within 20 days of the ship date. The first exchange or return for store credit on an order is free. Returns for refund will be charged a $15 fee to help offset return shipping costs and non-refundable Merchant Service Fees.

  • Subsequent exchanges will be charged a $12 shipping fee (unless expedited shipping is requested which, in that case, expedited shipping fees will apply). If a subsequent return results in a refund, we will withhold the $15 return fee plus a $12 additional shipping fee.   • Refunds will be to your original form of payment, which may include a gift card. Refunds in excess of $500 will be charged a larger fee due to the exponential shipping costs and Merchant Service Fees associated with higher value returns. Fees are as follows: $500/$20, $600/$23, $700/$27, $800/$30; $900/$35; $1,000/$40; $1,100/$43; $1200/$47; $1,300/$50; $1,400/$55; $1,500/$60; $1,700/$70; $1,800/$75; $1900/$80; $2,000/$85
  • Shipping costs and Order Protection are not refundable.

All items returned outside of the above policy will only be eligible for store credit.

Please use the original BURU packaging when shipping items back, when possible. Using unnecessarily large packaging for returns will result in additional fees.

Returnable Items

  • Items delivered to a US address (international shipping orders are Final Sale)
  • All unworn, unwashed, unaltered, original condition clothing items with the tags on and not marked Final Sale, are eligible for return or exchange within 20 days of ship date.
  • Final Sale items are not returnable - items are marked Final Sale on the product page and in check-out.
  • Shoes and footwear are returnable for exchange or store credit only.
  • Accessories including, but not limited to, belts, hats and headwear, handbags, jewelry (including earrings), scarves, sunglasses and eyewear are all Final Sale.

Can I return items I bought on sale?
We offer very few sales at BURU because we know these pieces can be an investment, and we want them to hold their value over time. But, we always want you to be happy with your items, so we do offer returns on sale items (unless they are marked final sale). Please note that many items purchased on sale are returnable for Store Credit only. This policy will always be communicated in tandem with a sale so please make sure to verify the policy prior to placing your order.

Return Shipping

We do our best to process returns on the day that they arrive back to us but, in some cases, it can take 2-5 days to process returns and prepare exchange orders. All exchange orders are shipped via UPS Ground. If you need your exchange order by a certain date, please email us at birdie@shopburu.com and let us know the date the order is needed. If expedited shipping is requested, we will send an invoice for additional shipping charges. Expedited shipping rates are:

  • UPS Next Day Air – can be added for $50 - $75 (depending on the size of the shipment)
  • UPS 2-Day Air – $15 for all orders over $300 (for orders under $300, the cost ranges from $25 to $50)
  • UPS 3-Day Select – can be added for $20 - $35 (depending on the size of the shipment)
